Renting a Limo For Prom

The biggest mistake you can make when shopping for a prom limo is to based your search and final decision on price alone. There are many limousine companies in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with various prices and of course quality of service. Many times a cheaper price will result in a bigger risk for you and your friends of being left stranded on prom night. This is because old, poorly maintained, and dirty vehicles, unprofessional chauffeurs are all common in the limousine business and the chance of being late are just a few examples of cheapest price shopping experience.

To be prudent in your research, you at least need to know that all limousines are required to carry commercial insurance and proper permits for each state that they operate on. Meaning that if you rent a New Jersey limo for your New York Prom, your limo driver might get stop in New York and get tow because although the limo company is legal to operate in New Jersey or Connecticut it might not have the proper permits to operate in New York City which results in you and your friends showing up to your prom in a yellow taxi. Most companies begin rental time at your designated pick up time and pick up location. If you say, “Pick us up at 5:00 p.m. at 656 West Street,” then this will be the beginning of your prom limousine rental time. Some companies begin limousine rental time on when they leave their office garage and call it “travel time.” Get in writing specifically how they charge.
